Very good week! Happy with the way things are progressing. This is the second week that I have been monitoring my food intake and tracking it with the MyFitnessPal App. Happy to report that I am under my cap for calories for each day this week! Although the week was great, had to adjust days and workouts around extracurriculars and work, but heres how it shook out:
Monday: off
Tuesday: 55min swim ( almost impossible to keep track of lengths as the pool was jammed with people and had to keep starting and stopping...grrrrr) + 5km run
Wednesday: 2x750m swim +1x500m swim + 14mile bike
Thursday: 14mile bike + 5km run
Friday: 2x750m swim + 1x500m swim + 14mile bike
Saturday: 4.5mile run + 12mile bike
Sunday: Off #CigarSunday
Only thing to rant about this week is my first swim of the week. I appreciate people doing new years resolutions and wanting a healthier lifestyle and swimming is a great, low impact, high calorie burn activity to do ( triathlon aside - that is why i am doing it) but know your speed people. I am not a zoomy maczoomerton anymore in the pool, but i keep a good pace. If you ask to join a lane, have a look to see at what rate the person is swimming so you can gage on whether you will be a good lane mate. Some starts and stops are too be expected, and if you are the one slowing up the show, recognize that and allow for others to pass you, there is no shame in that, everyone is trying to do something different. But DO NOT keep swimming at the same slower rate and force others into a place where they have to wait for you to swim almost an entire length before they can go, or get huffy if you get passed.
Just wave them on, or hug a corner until they can pass you. Seriously it is not a big deal. I have no problem sharing my lane, okay i do, but i am a brat, but understand lane swim etiquette and we all win. Okay rant over.
See you in the deep end
