I am not going to go through each one, but will give some high lights and some low lights, but there wont be many lows.
Martinez Cigars - Flatiron: I mention this an the only disappointing cigar that I have had from the Cigar Saveur box. It did not draw well, and really didnt get going flavor wise.
My Fathers Cigars -FDLA Maduro: Been waiting to try this, was amazing, will be looking for more on my travels this summer.
Foundation Cigars - The Tabernacle: WOW. If you smoke one cigar, smoke this one. Top of my to get again list.
La Palina Cigars - Illumination: Had a tough go with the cap, the wrapper split big time after the cut. I had to do a little repair to be able to smoke it, but once that happened was awesome.
Caldwell Cigars -Long Live the King: Loved this cigar, carmel and nutty, great smoke.
Hammer and Sickle Cigars - Hermitage No1: Never heard of it before, first time with german tobacco as part of the cigar, was really good, my brothers' tho needed to be relit multiple times.
Anthony and Cornelius Cigars - Cornelius: Dayum. Cant wait to try more of these. Great smoke, construction and flavor. Tres yummy.
As for the beverages - well my quest to try more local beers and new to me scotches and wiskey continue.
After reading alot of negative reviews of the GlenLivet Founders Reserve, I quite enjoyed the light fruity notes. It paired really well with the deep smoke from the C&A cigar. It would be a great scotch for anyone that hasnt really tried or says they do not like scotch.
Of the other beverages sampled, the Yippee IPA from Picaroons was def the standout.
Feel like I am a little late to the craft beer scene, but looking forward to having a couple of road trip adventures this summer to check out a few of the breweries around Nova Scotia and beyond.
This is more of a round up, if I was to write a review for each, I would have to be writing for a week or so haha.
Most of these cigars came from either my cigarsaveur cigar of the month club boxes or from the Cigar Boutique of Little Havana in Florida. I have another order on route from Florida and cant say enough good things about dealing with the shop owner Cesar. If you in South Florida, check this place out. Anytime I have family or friends headed that way, I will be pimping you out to bring me back cigars from Cesar's shop haha. Great prices and extremely helpful and knowledgable. Thanks again Cesar!!
That wraps it up for this week, until next time!
